It Is Very Hard To Get Somewhere You Haven’t Been Before, If You Are Travelling Alone and Without A Map.

As many of you know, I have recently rekindled my studies of the 12 Stages of Healing work developed by Donald Epstein. This has brought with it a rapid spike in my own growth of consciousness on my healing journey and a rapid spike in consciousness in The Lifehouse community as well. Frequently in the past month I have sat in wonder, appreciating the value of having this well laid out road map detailing the journey of healing that is typical to us humans. I am especially appreciative when I am travelling in unchartered territory.

Often I find myself experiencing new things, new thoughts and new energies; initially my response is one of disbelief, of question and sometimes of fear wanting to find myself back in a more familiar territory. This is human nature, our ego seeks familiarity. Luckily, with the road map that is set out before me, my mind finds a compass in the detailed work of someone who has travelled the road before me. Without this road map it is a natural tendency to travel in circles, one step forward and two back, moving this way and that way without any real progress.

Some folks travel their lives trying to get back to the way things used to be. This would be like trying to drive forward in a car while looking in the rear view mirror. By having a direction, a road map in front of us, a direction and vision is found. This is what the Lifehouse is to you, a beacon to guide you forward, a beacon of health, healing, wellness and conscious evolution. May you find direction, vision, and safety in the road that is laid out before you.

This week I experienced a very real and very powerful firsthand experience of the importance of the above message in working with Alita which is shared below. I trust you will enjoy.

Butterfly of Transformation - A personal experience
Alita Madisen

Intensity. I awoke this past week to heart palpitations, and an internal heat and terrifying dizziness, that had me leaning, sitting down, or clinging to door jams. Afraid that I was truly at the end, would need outside intervention or die, it took much of my resources to tune in. Both my body and my mind knew to bring more breath into my heart and also breath and energy up my spine. It worked! The more I focused my attention to this, the less the symptoms persisted.

Side Effect. The side effect became bliss! I floated in bliss, even though fear and symptoms hovered in the background. I made my way to work, not really wanting to take my focus off this new ability and awareness of my bodymind, both because this focus was saving me today and because of the effects this openness was having on my beingness. I wanted to retreat, (familiarity) because I was uncertain of how I could continue with this process while working, but Dr. Norm encouraged me to stay with it, to express this bliss outward as I served in my work. This permission grew me further in my transformation, and my health and wellbeing tipped over the other side as the day progressed.

The Other Side. The sense within that a storm has passed and I’ve been cleansed and renewed is clear in me. I continue to be aware of the opportunity to continue as the butterfly and bring awareness and consciousness to what nourishment, care and opportunities a butterfly requires compared to the caterpillar it was and to the chrysalis of transformation in between.

I continue to experience the power of my adjustments to heal and transform my body, my mind, my ability to handle more and more of life, and my ability to listen ever more deeply to the subtleties of innate within. Dr. Norm has been such a consistent guide and friend, encouraging me past my own boundaries and blockages, both challenging and nurturing me into the depths of my being as I work with innate faithfully.
