Share a "Fearless" Childhood Memory
Please share one of your favourite, "fearless" & inspiring childhood memories on our Blog
Fearless Child
Ever watch a child play? To see their willingness to fall, to make mistakes, to get back up again, brush their tears away, and play again. Their willingness to see beyond color, gender, and size. Their willingness to learn, to grow, to explore and to expand day by day. That child is not lost; he
or she has just been tucked away. Your inner child is still inside waiting to play.
May you take time this weekend to listen to and be your inner child- giggle, dance, skip and play all day! Remember what it felt like to be wild with adventure, to show your emotions, and have imagination be part of your life. May you build a fort, play hide and seek, maybe even throw yourself a party (just for the full of it).
Remember the innocence of life.
Remember the freedom inside.
Remember what it means to be you, living the life of a fearless child.
At the Lifehouse we’re inspired by this great video, sit back, turn up the volume, dance a little and smile remembering how to be you.
Blessings Dr. Norm and The Lifehouse Community

Blessing the Water – Greening The Lifehouse
With every tragedy comes an opportunity for introspection and change. During the past month we all have watched in horror as millions of gallons of oil have poured into the sea. At times it was easy for me to point fingers and blame. The damn oil companies, corporations and the government should do something more about this. However as things sat longer I began to see how this is our creation. This is my creation. I am responsible for the destruction of the environment, for the increasing demand of our fossil fuels, and for the slow implementation of readily available green solutions. Taking responsibility sometimes is scary as it is often easier to live in denial but you know what they say, with responsibility comes opportunity. Opportunity for something different!
Dr. Emoto – author, scientist, and humanitarian - has shared a brief, yet powerful prayer and we are passing it along here as a focal point, a space of conscious creation allowing us to move past fear, judgment and retribution into Unity, Harmony and Wholeness. This prayer is structured using Ho'oponopono (an ancient Hawaiian prayer) and is directed initially to WATER - the element connecting ALL Life on the planet.

Along with prayer must come action. Action will create the change that is needed. I said last week that making green choices is sometimes like making healthy choices, we all know that we should be making them, only a few actually do. Well if you are ready to make change and want to be informed in some very simple, practical solutions I am inviting you for a very special evening with my friend Ian Gartshore, from Shore Energy Solutions, who will be hosting an evening full of green ideas and demonstrations. Ian will also be modeling the new inflector blinds, that we just had installed at The Lifehouse, which are very innovative reversible screens which reflect the heat in the summer and absorb the heat for passive heating in the winter. Ian has also helped reduce our water consumption at The Lifehouse by 30% with a $15.00 upgrade!
For more information you can visit http://www.shoreenergy.ca/
The open house will happen next Thursday, June 24th at 7pm. See you all there.
On a final note, and it only seems fitting as this summer solstice is to be a very powerful energetic moment in time with emphasis on the importance of water. I would like to invite you all to a Summer Solstice Celebration. It will be full of heart opening music, great food, loving people, and intentional rituals for this important season of change. Details below:
Be well and remember, it’s not easy being green, but it is a heck of a lot more rewarding going to bed knowing that you have done all you can for your children to grow up enjoying the planet too.
Love to you all.

Action vs. Inaction by Dr. Peter Amlinger
Hello everyone. This week I have chosen to send out a recent article from one of my dear friends Dr. Peter Amilinger around 'Action', so if you are looking for a little nudge ahead - here is your chance. Have a great week.
Blessings
Norm
Action vs. Inaction
Dr. Peter Amlinger
It has often been said that faith without action is dead. If we want to make changes in our life we must take action. If we want to realize our dreams and goals we must take action. If we want to create the life we would love to live we must accept the fact that the only constant in life is change, which can only be driven by action.
However, what part of you is driving your life? BJ Palmer talked at length about the Giant Within, the infinite, all knowing superconscious mind which he called our innate. In his book the, Power of Intention, Wayne Dyer refers to this power as Source Energy and he says we can choose to let it, guide our life, or we can lead an ego driven life. The Native Elders discussed this same choice, as have most, if not all, cultures that have recorded their philosophies. BJ wrote volumes about living a life based upon the guidance of a free flowing perfect intelligence from above - down, inside - out.
The innate mind is action oriented and it always communicates in positive empowering emotions.
Innate guides us in all areas of our life if…
• We heed its hunches and act on the thot flashes it sends us all of the time,
• Its expression is not dimmed down by subluxation,
• Its expression is not dumbed down by drugs, and foreign chemicals.
Here is the real deal. Inaction has killed many, many more people than action. We often look at situations and identify destructive thinking, habits and behaviours as an individual’s demise. In fact, it is more often than not, if not always, INACTION that is driving the problem. Sometimes ones actions appear to disguise the inaction.
For example, it is not a smoker’s smoking that causes the health issues associated with smoking, it is their inaction relative to quitting that does. It is not the continuous overeating that kills the obese person, it is their inaction in changing their relationship with food that is the real issue. I contend that everyone with an addiction, deleterious lifestyle habit, or job they hate, knows implicitly what action they SHOULD be taking. They are simply choosing not to take it. Those people who choose not to listen to their inner feelings which are urging them to pursue dreams and visions and reach for the stars, are suffering greatly and do not know the joy of living life fully and going for it because they choose inaction over action. Those who choose to hold on to anger and resentment or fear and worry, which are all products of the ego, instead of healing these old wounds and walking through the fear and worry, which often paralyzes them, are robbing themselves of the gift of living in the now because they choose inaction over inner healing.
Live clear - get your spine checked for subluxation regularly and choose a life of innately guided action over ego driven inaction. It will help you to live the life the universe has planned for you. For as it has been said, when you let go of the life you have planned, the one that God created for you shows up.
Blessings
Norm

Letting Go
Letting Go
Dr. Norm Detillieux
The idea of letting go can for many people be one of the scariest and most difficult things to do. We cling to the old, the familiar. There is comfort in that familiarity even if we have out grown it, even if it is unhealthy for us, even if it is no longer of use for us, the comfort remains appealing. We become hard wired in our thinking with familiarity, our minds supporting the attraction to that feeling of comfort, because it is what we know. But as the old adage goes, the only thing constant in life is change and this is most certainly true for our lives. Inside of us millions of cells are being created new each minute, this also means that millions of cells are dying each second as well. Letting go is a natural cycle of birth and death.
So how do we, in fact, let go, and what are we letting go to? Letting go gets much easier when we know what we are letting go to. Get clear on what you are moving towards, even if it is at this point just an essence. I am letting go to my authentic nature, to my core way of being, to a new more honoring relationship, I am letting go to trust the universe. Letting go means leaving room for the new to emerge, for the more authentic nature to arise. Give permission for what is true to you, to come into being without you having to control it, contort it, or manipulate it. If you do control, contort or manipulate it, you will only get more of the same familiarity wrapped in a new experience.
Remember that there are cycles of birth and death in our lives. This is natural. Learning to let go and let parts of you die is a natural, healthy thing to do. Imagine a tree and a leaf which has been attached for the past 8 months and is about to fall off. You would never expect the tree to struggle to hang on to it, control with all its might and call all its friends in fear that a part of it is dying. No, the tree knows, just like the innate part of you, that things die, and the next new things will emerge. This is the cycle of letting go and the cycle of life.
A mantra that I have used that has supported me in my letting go process is “Let go and let God.”
May you find peace in all of you, the parts that are dying and the parts that are emerging new.
Have a beautiful weekend,
Dr. Norm
